Alice Hewitt is a Margate based sculptor and miniaturist specialising in tiny food.

Alice Hewitt is a Margate based sculptor and miniaturist specialising in tiny food. She takes her inspiration from food photography and the food grown in her family allotment that brings such joy to her dinner table. Thoroughly believing that you can have your cake and eat it too, Alice aims to mirror the aesthetic of your table and elevate your nourishment to art.

Alice studied painting with OCA in Canterbury, England, and studied ceramics at Clayspace in Margate. Working in polymer clay, her miniatures are sold worldwide.

After a decade in London, Alice came back home to Margate and started to explore the concept of wearable art. Marrying her obsession with the aesthetics of food with her passion of miniatures, her jewellery captures the vivid colours and luscious lines of food in a playful way that is designed to delight your inner child.

By bringing your attention to the beauty of the quotidian, Alice’s work is sure to capture your imagination.
